As part of our continuating birthday celebrations, Timeout featured Dan (Electric Service Co., above left), Rich (Mo’ Better Views, above center) and Tristan (Something you might like., above right) last week. This week: Patrick, Susanna and Elizabeth.
Finally, we’re having a birthday party! Really, a Dribbble Meetup at Salem HQ. Come!
Birthday Playoff Winner: Tom McQuaid
Left to right: Selfie, Dribbble Turns 5, and Everyman
Tom is a designer and illustrator originally from Baltimore, now living in Philadelphia. Tom won a whole slew of treats* plus a $1,000 donation to Americans for the Arts, a nonprofit advancing the arts and art education. Tom told Dribbble why he chose the organization:
“I appreciate every effort made to improve access to the arts and arts education. I’m currently working on painting murals in a South Philly elementary school, and I’ve seen firsthand how cuts in funding have really decimated their art and music departments. Taking art classes in school and in my community growing up has a lot to do with why I pursued a creative career, so I feel that a donation to Americans for the Arts is a way to give back to the art community and ensure that more people are offered the freedom to reach their creative potential. I’d also like to extend a big THANK YOU to the organization for all that they do.”
*Thank you to our prize donors Dropbox, Fonts.com (part of Monotype), Scout Books, Threadless and Wacom.
