We’ve heard all the hype about the rose-colored glasses, but here at Dribbble we wear shades of a bolder hue: hot pink. Dan explains why he chose what’s now our signature color:

“Aside from a very brief moment where I was determined to use purple, successfully, in a website, hot pink #ea4c89 has been Dribbble’s brand accent and spirit animal hue. The pink plays a perfect anti-hero to our stay-in-the-backseat, intentionally-monochrome interface.

“We also found this specific shade of pink to work extremely well for a site that displays content from different creators with different styles using different colors. Hot pink is rare enough to stand out when we need it to amongst all the art flying around here.”

Below, 9 hot-pink shots flying around from the last six months.

Top: James Arends, Vanessa Donley, JBH Marketing. Middle: Pam Schiavone, Jeffrey Chupp for Dribbble, Alex Choura. Bottom: Jorun Nymo for VG, Lienke Raben, Justin Kunkel.
