Black Game Developers, a new directory of amazing designers and their work

It’s more important than ever to purchase from, familiarize yourself with, and hire from the diverse community that makes up the tech industry, but some voices aren’t as amplified as others due to prejudice and structural disadvantage. That’s why we’ve been such big fans of directories that seek to highlight groups that aren’t always as represented in design, such as Fonts by Womxn, Women Who Draw, Cartoonists of Color, Queer Cartoonists, and Women Who Design, to name a few.

This week, we’re looking at Black Game Developers, a simple directory that allows you to find black individuals or companies in the game design industry, and to filter by skills such as game art and design, game audio, programming, marketing, production, narrative design, UI, copywriting, public relations, and quality assurance. The project was created by Arthur Ward Jr., Catt Small, and Chris Algoo.

So go forth and search, admire, support, and hire. Have a name or company to contribute? You can do that too.
