About the brand
Desk Goblins is a collectible art-toy brand built on a simple idea: people already describe themselves by their work behaviors (“I'm procrastinating,” “I'm panicking”). We turn those everyday states into lovable collectible characters. The audience is the 25–40 office/WFH adult — an adult-collector aesthetic (15+), not a children's toy.

The assignment
Design 7 characters — 6 hero goblins + 1 rare “chase” — built to translate from a phone thumbnail to a 2–3 inch physical figure.

Style & mood direction
• “Ugly-cute”: characterful, a little grotesque, still lovable — the aesthetic that defines collectible art toys.
• Bold flat color, expressive faces, one clear visual trait per character.
• Strong, simple silhouette readable at small scale; no fussy detail that won't sculpt or mold.
• Touchstones (for tone, not to copy): vinyl designer-toy expressiveness, clean modern character design, a wink of dark humor.

That's the white space we want to own: clean, intentional, and tech-credible, with genuine human warmth baked in. Not bolted together. One unified thing. What we're looking for:
A complete brand identity system: wordmark, symbol mark, color palette, typography system, and brand guidelines. The output will go directly to our web development team and govern every customer-facing surface including website, product UI, marketing, and social for years.
