Another month of Dribbble Meetup mayhem unfolded in February, when almost 600 Dribbblers attended 10 meetups in 8 countries. We’re over the moon with the way our global community fosters this face-to-face networking, and our entire team’s excited to get some face-time ourselves this May for Hang Time Seattle!

“On February 16th, we had our first Dribbble Lisbon Meetup! Aside from socializing with colorful stories about interface bugs and funny clients, our design director Bohdan Kononets shared the origin story of Flatstudio, and designer Slava Moroz shared his tricks and tips of working with plugins in Sketch. All in all, it was a great event!”

“On February twenty-second we hosted our second MetaLab x Dribbble Meetup! We had over one hundred local designers pack our Vancouver HQ to mingle, enjoy some brews, and partake in a few fun design challenges. “This was the frist Dribbble Meetup in Colombia this year, and it was awesome. An incredible opportunity to meet all the people we usually get to know only through social media, and share nice moments with them. We were a total of forty seven people—woop woop! From developers, designers, and project managers, to high school students, It was super cool to see everyone talking and networking.
Our sponsor, Freeletics, gave some nice swag and Coach subscriptions for our guests, while Platzi provided us with warm pizza and drinks for the night. We loved it all! Connections were made and others got stronger. Let’s hope this doesn’t end here—until next time!”

“Hosting this Dribbble Meetup was a blast. We had designers from all sorts of disciplines come together to talk shop and exchange details. London has a fantastic creative community full of people who are willing to give advice and in some cases provide mentorship to people who are just starting out.
The venue, Zigfrid Von Underbelly, has a fantastic bohemian feel to it, which encapsulated the creative vibe perfectly. As a host, and with past meetups, I always try to go out of my way to introduce myself to people coming to my events and encourage creative discussion. It can be incredibly daunting meeting people you haven’t met before, so I always try to make myself seem approachable.
We will definitely be doing a Dribbble Meetup again! We have plans for talks, prizes, and giveaways coming up—so just you watch this space!”
