We’ve all heard of Pixel Art, right? There are plenty of great examples of it on Dribbble already. However, Pixel Art has a lesser-known cousin known as Voxel Art. Voxel Art is essentially Pixel Art, but using 3D pixels. It is most commonly created using an open source tool called MagicaVoxel.
If you want to know more about what exactly Voxel Art is, Matej ‘Retro’ Jan, the editor of Retronator Magazine recently wrote a great article detailing exactly what voxels are and how they are different from traditional graphics. Also, if you look carefully, you’ll notice some of the example Voxel Art was made by Dribbblers!
The shots below are some great examples of Voxel Art that we found. Check them out and upload your own!
