October saw 18 Dribbble Meetups in 8 countries. Over 1,200 of you attended. Nice job Dribbblers!
This year is almost over, but if attending a Dribbble Meetup was one of your new year’s resolutions, you still have time. Find out if there’s a Dribbble Meetup near you on the Dribbble Meetups page or start your own.
Baton Rouge @ Radio Bar
“We had a wonderful Dribbble Meetup. Over 30 designers attended. We held an Analog Playoff with a type fight concept where participants hand-illustrated/hand-lettered the letter “C” in reference to the Crop Graphic Design Conference we will be hosting next spring with some incredible workshops and speakers such as Aaron Draplin, Brian Steeley, Amy & Jen Hood, and many more. We had over 30 submissions! Winston Scully, a local lettering artist and fellow Dribbbler judged the playoff. The winning design will be vectorized and colored and turned into a one-of-a-kind button we will include in the swag bags at the conference. We had so many great submissions, we chose 3!”
Cebu City, Philippines @ Crown 7 Building
“Thank you to Dribbble for allowing us, a small town here in the Philippines able to have a Dribbble Meetup. I am so proud that these people, designers, artists are very excited to have this event. Since this is our first Dribbble Meetup, we introduced ourselves and talked about how we heard of Dribbble, if anyone has already an account and what we do for work. Five of us did impromptu presentations, where we talked about our latest projects and the style and processes in creating a design. We had some beer and pizza during the meetup and had freebies for the participants. It’s great to see everyone’s eagerness to learn. We’d love to have this event annually or biannually.”
New Orleans, LA @ Little Gem Saloon
New Orleans Dribbblers celebrated the start of the AIGA Design Conference at the Little Gem Saloon with a meetup. Around 200 guests took part in a typography activity, savored a specialty bourbon cocktail called “The Page-Maker’s Brambbble” and the down-home cuisine of Food4daSoul, perused mindblowing paper samples and extras from the likes of Neenah, and enjoyed Nikki Villagomez’s popular talk, “How Culture Affects Typography,” tailored to New Orleans. Thanks to Mac Papers for sponsoring!

PHXDW Posters & Pizza Tournament Dribbble Meetup
“After an amazing kickoff to Phoenix Design Week with Method + Madness Conference the weekend before, we all needed to decompress. What better way than talking design, eating pizza and playing some competitive ping pong. All set to some 80 and 90’s hip hop thanks to DJ Rocka Rocka.
12 designers entered and 1 designer left victorious. Andy Brown, also known as Soldier Leisure beat out Eric Lashley II for top dog of this year’s event.
6 pizzas, 54 beers, 24 sodas and a bunch of waters later we all came away closer, and sweatier than we started.”
Irvine, CA @ Acorns
“Our first Acorns x Dribbble Meetup was a success. We were excited to have everyone at our new office and had presentations by Tim Kendall of Acorns, Amy and Jennifer Hood of Hoodzpah, Clark Dinnison and Alex Givens of Noon Pacific and, the folks from Neat Coffee. To make sure people didn’t go hungry, Taco Bell was kind enough to treat everyone to a mountain of tacos and burritos. It was really fun, and we are looking forward to our next meetup!”
Portsmouth, NH
“Our Portsmouth Dribbble Meetup went great! We had about 40 people show up throughout the night.”

Düsseldorf, Germany @ Coworking Gewächshaus Düsseldorf
“We had a great Behance Dribbble NRW Meetup. We had about 80 designers in attendance. There were presentations by Christoph Gey, Vasco Bontje, Léa Zier, and Magdalena Proszowska. We gave out a lot of swag and had a lot of fun! Join the Facebook group for information on future events.”
Atlanta, GA @ Yik Yak
“Overall, our first Dribbble Meetup was a big success! The costume contest went over well with participants dressing up as Link, Solid Snake, a kilt wearing interpretation of the Flash, a hot dog, and more. We even had someone attend via a telepresence robot, who we ended up turning into the least menacing bouncer the world has ever seen. Though the meetup was scheduled to end at 10, a handful of us hung around past midnight chatting feverishly about how to build a stronger design scene here in Atlanta. Next time we’ll just have to remember the wine opener.”
Orlando, FL @ Envy Labs
“Our first Orlando Dribbble Meetup was awesome! We had an overall attendance of 60+ doodlers and 30+ Analog Playoff participants. Thanks to our local sponsors, Orlando Designers, Code School, and AIGIA Orlando. Stay up to date on Orlando Dribbble Meetup happenings via @DribbbleOrlando and the hashtag #DribbbleOrlando. What’s next? We’ll be meeting bi-monthly starting January 2016!”
CSS Dev Conf in Long Beach, CA @ The Queen Mary
“Every year CSS Dev Conf is in a different host city. To create more a direct connection to the city, CSS Dev Conf opens up evening events to allow local freelancers, design organizations, design students and teachers to attend. So, it goes without saying that the annual Dribbble Meetup is one the biggest events we put on as a part of CSS Dev Conf!”
