Richard Mullins

Biography

My journey from paste-up artist to social post designer began with my graduation from The University of Oklahoma (1987), landing a $6 an hour job in a commercial silk screen shop in Dallas, Texas. This initial experience was followed by a creative role at the Oklahoma State Department of Health's Education Office. Next I accepted a postion as Art Director at Harcourt Brace College Publishers in Fort Worth. Then after a few years of operating as a free-lancer Art Director, I moved to San Francisco to study painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. Back in Texas, I spent the next fifteen years teaching and mentoring young graphic designers at The Art Institute of Dallas before returning to the industry as Creative Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. My path eventually led me to the restaurant supply sector, where I contributed to both H2 Creative Group and AmerCareRoyal. Presently I have returned to my previous role as free-lance Art Director for Passion Fruit (UK)
