Due to lack of respect and dignity im forced to post a factual opinion about this person- I hired Zayaan for brand identity work refining an existing logo to my exact instructions — and later for a custom typeface, which he proposed himself and set the deadline for.
The font is now over a month past that deadline. What was eventually delivered is unusable: broken spacing and kerning throughout — not a working font file by any standard. Since then he has stopped responding to my messages while remaining visibly active on Dribbble.
Communication was poor throughout, his design contributions required constant correction, and the relationship became uncomfortable when he brought up his personal financial situation and asked for donations on top of the agreed fee.
I now have to restart the typeface from scratch with another designer, which set my brand timeline back significantly. Everything stated here is documented and I can provide proof.
I gave a chance to someone early in his career — unfortunately no value was delivered for the time and energy invested. If your project has a real deadline and You need actual help with the brand identity when you dont have it figured out fully yourself, look elsewhere.--- If someone doesnt respect you and your professional cooperation, hes not in the right place- karma is real.
