Bringing Together Two Creative Communities

Our mission at Dribbble has always been to make designers successful. That success means helping designers create opportunities, build community, and make a living doing what they love. That’s why we’re focused on making Dribbble the place for designers to come together to get inspired, showcase their work, and ultimately build their career in design.

Today, we’re taking another step closer to making that vision a reality as I’m excited to announce that we are welcoming Creative Market into the Dribbble family. Over the past 8 years, Creative Market has developed an incredible marketplace for professional design assets. They have fostered a community of over 6 million people around the world who have created over 4 million fonts, graphics, templates, add-ons, photos, and themes.

Dribbble has had a longstanding relationship with Creative Market, both via my previous role there as Chief Growth Officer, and through our various partnerships over the years such as the industry events that we’ve co-hosted at SXSW and many other co-hosted Dribbble Meetups. Now, we’re coming together in a more formal way to start an exciting new chapter. Our primary mission at Dribbble has always been to make designers successful, and we believe that partnering with Creative Market will allow us to do that in an even more significant way.

Dribbble and Creative Market share many of the same core values and our companies have complementary visions when it comes to the impact that we believe our platforms can have to elevate the design community. We also believe in empowering our internal teams, both of which are fully distributed across North America, to work in the ways that suit their lives.

Our primary mission at Dribbble has always been to make designers successful, and we believe that partnering with Creative Market will allow us to do that in an even more significant way.

Although Creative Market will become part of Dribbble’s portfolio, moving forward both companies will continue to operate independently, and very little will change in each company’s day-to-day. In the near term, we will function completely autonomously continuing our separate product road maps and at some point in the future, we may explore ways to collaborate across platforms.

As we have always done, Dribbble will continue to put our community and our reputation as a place for creative inspiration and discovery first.

I’m so proud of how the platform and our team has grown over the last few years, and I can’t wait for this next chapter together.
