A collage is a form of art in which various materials are assembled together to create one piece of work. The word comes from the French verb “coller” which means “to glue”. The technique of gluing paper cut-outs to a flat surface originated in the twentieth century—but since then, it’s evolved into much more.
Designers and digital artists are now also exploring the art of collage whether it be incorporating digital assets, or a plethora of other creative mediums. We’re slowly starting to see more collage work emerge here on Dribbble and we’re all about it. Check out these nine designers who’ve been creating some intricate collage work we are loving.
