Get inspired by designs and illustrations celebrating the Chinese New Year 2019

The first day of Chinese New Year 2019 took place on Tuesday, February 5th kicking off the Year of the Pig. The Pig is the twelfth animal of the Chinese zodiac and is said to symbolize wealth and good fortune in Chinese culture. If you were born in either 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, or 2007, then this is your year!

With people celebrating around the world this week, we wanted to take part by sharing some awesome design and illustration work we noticed on Dribbble dedicated to the Chinese New Year. We really enjoyed checking out all of the different kinds of interpretations:
