Title sequence design and their makers

How close attention do you pay to title art at the beginning of a film or series? It’s a niche world of the design industry and we recently became fascinated with it when we discovered Art of the Title—a pretty impressive directory of designers, studios, and the titles themselves from around the world. The online publication was founded in 2007 and covers all types of sequences including those for film, tv, conference, and video games.

Founded by Ian Albinson and Alexander Ulloa, with current Managing Editor Lola Landekic and Senior Editor Will Perkins, the site runs on contributions from writers. If you are or know a design or studio wanting to be added, or a writer with something to say on the subject, contact info@artofthetitle.com.

Fascinated by creative directories in general? Us too. Check out a few more like dexigner, a comprehensive database of design firms, studios, museums, organizations, and resources. See also People of Craft for a list of creatives of color, motionadesigndirectory.com for animation, creativeladydirectory.com for some women-specific lists, and thedesign.directory.
