Kuala Lumpur, @ FutureLab
“This was Kuala Lumpur’s very first Dribbble Meet Up in 2018. I had joined forces with FutureLab, a local startup focuses on mentorships and community building to co-host the creative meet up. Twenty four people showed up and got hands-on with screen printing their own tote bag, doodling their worries away in the analog playoff, and were mesmerized by the entertaining and inspiring talks by local industry experts. We also had a photo exhibition dedicating to Workspace, paying tribute to the spaces that allow creatives to create, do, and fail.

“The third edition of Dribbble WroMeetup was truly a blast. We’ve had four creative speakers this time, they covered topics such as: screens that you always forget to design while working on the app, how to design a game and how to make money from it, believe in yourself and try new things—based on a story about the design of a chocolate box, and the creative life of a successful Art Director. Over one hundred and fifty people showed up. It was really great!”

“The Lagos Dribbble Meetup was held on April 7th at Workstation. The event received partnership from the Nigerian design and creative community. The event hosted about two hundred and fifty designers. It started out with board and video games, but the highlight of the event was the unconference session, where designers spoke blazingly about the current challenges we face in our local industry as well as possible methods for tackling them.
The meetup lasted seven hours! We had loads of giveaways from various sponsors, and provided food and cocktails for all the attendees. This meetup was organized by Cokards Creative Agency in Lagos, Nigeria. Check out more event highlights!”
Ahmedabad, India @ Aubergine Solutions
“The first ever Dribbble Meetup we organized was a great success, with around forty six people attending. We gathered the little design community in Ahmedabad under one roof to chat, mingle, and network. We began with a round of introductions, where everybody spoke about themselves and how Dribbble is helpful to them in their professions. Later, we did an activity where we handed out a piece of paper and pencil to the audience and asked them, “what comes to your mind when you think of Ahmedabad?” We collected them all and put up a display on a wall and everyone voted on their favorite design. The ‘Best 5 Doodles’ got Dribbble Badges!
