Who are you?
My name is Adam Gonzalez, and i’m a freelance designer based out of the beautiful city of Long Beach, California with a slight obsession with letters and illustrations. And dogs.
What are you working on?
Currently I’m working on a new/old project called The Phraseology Project with a good friend of mine Drew Melton. It’s an old project that we’re bringing back to life, where we illustrate a couple of phrases a week. I’m also working on some fun designs for a coffee company called Wilbur Curtis. Other then that, I always have a few different branding projects and passion projects I’m working on.
Choose a favorite shot of yours. Why is it a favorite?
Not that it’s my favorite shot I’ve ever posted, but it is my favorite just because of the meaning behind it.
Tell us about your setup. What tools did you use to create the shot (e.g. hardware, software, pens, paper, blowtorch)?
I try not to bring my blowtorch to work cause it scares my studio-mates, but I have the basic setup. I plug my laptop into my cinema display and I’m ready to go!
Choose a favorite shot from another Player. Why do you dig it?
Oh man, this is a hard one! I have to give it up to this lettering by Olga Vasik. She’s always thinking outside the box and pushing the limits of lettering while still playing by the rules.
