Who are you?

I’m a freelance illustrator, based in Paris. I’ve been drawing and playing with colours for a long time. I studied textile design at the School of Applied Arts. After I graduated, I wanted to experiment with as many different creative disciplines as possible—illustration, graphic design, textile design. However, illustration has always been at the back of my mind.

What are you working on?

I’m currently working on my second children’s book and I just finished an illustration project for a french perfume house. My clients and projects are usually very diversified and it’s always a great pleasure for me to discover new techniques and begin new work.

Choose a favorite shot of yours. Why is it a favorite?

This is one of my latest illustrations, a personal work. I really love it because I feel that my style is still evolving. It’s very important for me to challenge myself as much as possible while keeping my style, my “artistic identity.”

Tell us about your setup. What tools did you use to create the shot (e.g. hardware, software, pens, paper, blowtorch)?

I use a MacBook Pro (really useful to be carried around), pens, watercolor and art paper. I love to draw on paper with a strong texture. Arches and Montval are my favorites. Finally, I mostly work with Photoshop and my graphic tablet.

Choose a favorite shot from another Player. Why do you dig it?

I really love Jorgen Grotdal’s work. I’m always very impressed by people who work the lettering. It’s a pure and graphic work. Love it.
