We’re a lucky crew at Dribbble for many reasons, mostly involving you and several excellent partners who support our efforts on many fronts. This week, we had a chance to meet face-to-face with a couple of them.
The fleet and friendly folks at Amplifier have been screenprinting shirts plus fulfilling, shipping and otherwise supporting our Equipment Shop and meetup kit orders for nearly a year and a half. Alison stopped by their Austin HQ last week to grab swag for ATX Dribbble #23. Rory Grant gave her a tour of HQ, which stretches across nearly 100,000 square feet.
Dan also went touring in his trusty Subaru down the highway to Woburn, to Monotype HQ. We’re hoping to work on an event with Monotype in the future, plus also we love excellent fonts and they make them, and we also really like Fonts.com’s Johnathan Zsittnik. Thanks, Johnathan, for the lunch and the tour.
Dan and Alison will continue their jaunting later this week when they travel to Chicago for Friday’s Facebook Chicago Dribbble Meetup. Dan and Facebook’s Design Director Jon Lax will talk design, before everyone gets down and meets up.
The rest of us stayed put, though the blog traveled to Austin for a For the Win with Ryan Hamrick. Hamrick knew no one in the design industry when he decided to go freelance. Then he joined Dribbble and … well, we’re not going to ruin his story. Go read it!
