Dreams poster / tribute to Aron Douglas

Simple, modernistic illustration of Langston Hughes poem Dream with fusion of African ancestral arts so it manifested as geometric symbolism / as tribute to Aron Douglas illustrations as one of the most important artist during Harlem Renaissance era.
Man is laying on the ground, dreams awake, trying to catch the star (metaphorically -chase his dream, striving to succeed). His body also represents his surrounding/ buildings, houses with the windows that are all the same, monotone, depressing - which refers to living life without fulfillment, fitting to surrounding, to society at cost of losing personality, identity, not listening to inner being, inner self.
