We worked with Rylian for two months deploying and maintaining the production site for our company — a 260-file, 58-page build with a React layer, a licensed foundry typeface system, a governed brand and color system, access-gated pages with server-side form handling, and a hash-verified deployment pipeline. Commissioned from an agency, a build of this scope runs well into six figures. He handled the entire deployment side of it, and went well above and beyond what the engagement asked for. Our process is unusually strict. Every release ships as an exact file package with a hash-verified manifest and its own apply instructions; nothing gets edited by hand on the server, and every change requires a verification script run plus screenshot confirmation. Rylian followed it precisely, every single time, across a dozens of releases over those two months — including several same-night turnarounds when something had to be live before morning. On one release he applied a full-tree replacement and had confirmation back to us at 2:42 AM. Two months in, that consistency is what I'd point to most. Plenty of people are careful on the first release. He was just as exact on the twelfth, and just as quick to respond. He doesn't only execute, he catches things. When our verification script flagged discrepancies, he reported every line rather than reconciling quietly — and one of those reports surfaced an error in our own package that we had missed. He caught a navigation element we'd shipped to desktop but not mobile. When something looked wrong, he raised it instead of working around it, which is exactly the behavior you want from someone with server access. He then took on a backend service deployment well outside his core expertise. He worked through it methodically … dependency installs, a multi-gigabyte data pipeline, database index build, an eleven-suite test run … and got the whole thing running from the command line on his own initiative. The remaining blocker turned out to be a hard memory limit on the shared hosting plan that no configuration could have solved; the application had no room to start. Nobody could have fixed that from where he was sitting, and he had already gone far past what we contracted him for. He's also straight with you about scope. When that work moved beyond what he could reasonably own, he said so plainly instead of burning our budget … while still preparing everything on his end for the moment the infrastructure was ready. I value that far more than someone who bluffs. If you're trusting someone with production access to serious work, this is the person. Fast, precise, communicative, and genuinely invested in getting it right. Highest recommendation, and we're continuing to work with him.
