Originally from Russia, Roma graduated from the Rhode Island School Design, and settled down in Brooklyn, New York. Roma’s art took shape in studios and pop-up galleries. Roma has illustrated numerous illustrations for magazines, most notably, The New Yorker, the Progressive, the Columbia Journal Review and The New York Times to name a few. His first children’s book, “Mural on Second Avenue,” was published by Candlewick Press and his handmade books can be found in both the USA and abroad. His textile and bag design collaborations include Kinokuniya book stores, The 9/11 Tribute Center, and a series of franchise cafes in Japan.
