WordPress Blog Designer

The Teachable Brand and Content team is planning to move its content blog off of Teachable’s proprietary CMS and onto Wordpress. The team is responsible for creating an engaging content experience for both Teachable members and prospective members. The blog will function as both an acquisition and retention tool. The blog should be designed in such a way that encourages users to browse through its content in a seamless and engaging manner. The Wordpress design for this project should be semi-custom. The team is open to using an established WP template with necessary updates made to ensure it aligns with the Teachable brand design guidelines and desired UX capabilities.

This is a two month freelance project. We are looking for someone with:

  • Deep knowledge of WordPress: familiarity with templates, design customizations and UX capabilities. 
  • Expert level experience in designing engaging editorial content sites on Wordpress
  • Strong web UX experience and deep understanding of how to create engaging user journeys through a content site. 

We will share a full list of deliverables once we've accepted your application. Please expect to design pages including but not limited to: blog homepage, aggregate pages (by category), author bio page and article page.
