Job Description

this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the Montreal office

We are looking for a Senior Web Designer to join our awesome team at Vention. As the gatekeeper of our user experience for the digital platform (web/eCommerce/dashboard), this role must maximize ease-of-use and best-in-class visual representation. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product teams and stakeholders, working on research, testing, prototyping and designing to develop intuitive and thoughtful Web experience.  As a secondary mandate, you will also help our internal Warehouse Management System (VOps) team to give a better user experience to our internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on designer– taking a consumer-first approach and proactively identifying design needs and execution on the solutions. They will enjoy working closely with Product and Engineering to develop and execute programs that deepen our relationship with users and deliver the appropriate design solution.

More specifically you will:

  • Be a team member of the Web and VOps teams, working closely with product managers and engineers, to create and design intuitive user experiences flow and pages

    • Collaborate with the marketing and growth team to design dynamic and high-converting websites 

    • Collaborate with the Operations and Finance teams to increase discoverability and usability of our internal Warehouse Management System (WMS) 

  • Working closely with the dev team to create pages and components that can be reusable 

  • Find ways to integrate our marketing experience with our product offering

  • Upgrade design requirements and brand standards by leveraging user research, team feedback, and customer feedback in order to create delightful user experiences.

  • Identify and define thoughtful user journeys supported by low to high-fidelity wireframes, user flow diagrams, detailed interaction recommendations, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts

  • Serve as an advocate for design in strategic decisions

  • Maintain a current knowledge of design trends, industry trends, market conditions, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Web or UI/UX experience 

  • High proficiency using Figma

  • A portfolio with case studies demonstrating your strength in UI, UX and creative problem solving

  • Ability to design and share ideas with clarity and passion, and to give and receive feedback with open-mindedness

  • Ability to think and operate in terms of design systems – be it working from existing design systems, evolving design systems or defining new design systems
