Marketing and Administrative Assistant
Focus Lighting, a fast-paced, innovative, and award-winning architectural lighting design firm based in New York City, has an immediate opening for a proactive and versatile Marketing and Administrative Assistant with a passion for social media marketing, exceptional writing abilities, and proficiency in photo and graphic editing. Responsibilities
Craft engaging and persuasive written content for social media posts, newsletters, email blasts, and other marketing materials, maintaining consistency with our brand voice and messaging.
Design captivating graphics, images, and videos to complement social media posts and marketing campaigns using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.
Implement website content updates and ensure translated versions are up to date
Assist in developing and executing social media marketing strategies across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
Monitor social media channels for industry trends, audience engagement, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Collaborate closely with our internal team, as well as our external PR consultant including ensuring cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms and publications.
Provide high-level administrative support including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements for our Partners (and occasionally other Principals).
Assist with other administrative tasks and special projects as needed to support our company objectives.
The successful candidate will have the following:
· Bachelor's degree in Design, Theater, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
· Proven experience as a marketing assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably within the design or creative industry.
· Passion for social media marketing and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.
· Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an acute attention to detail and grammar.
· Proficiency in photo and graphic editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) to create visually compelling content.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
· Creative mindset with a knack for generating innovative ideas and solutions to drive engagement and brand awareness.
· Experience with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making is a plus.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.
Our office is located in Harlem and is a busy, yet very creative, exciting, and friendly environment. This is a primarily an office-based position, but hybrid work is permitted. Benefits are provided, including paid vacation, medical and dental insurance, and 401(k). The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, based on experience.
