Marketing and Administrative Assistant

Focus Lighting, a fast-paced, innovative, and award-winning architectural lighting design firm based in New York City, has an immediate opening for a proactive and versatile Marketing and Administrative Assistant with a passion for social media marketing, exceptional writing abilities, and proficiency in photo and graphic editing. Responsibilities

  • Craft engaging and persuasive written content for social media posts, newsletters, email blasts, and other marketing materials, maintaining consistency with our brand voice and messaging.

  • Design captivating graphics, images, and videos to complement social media posts and marketing campaigns using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.

  • Implement website content updates and ensure translated versions are up to date

  • Assist in developing and executing social media marketing strategies across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.

  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, audience engagement, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

  • Collaborate closely with our internal team, as well as our external PR consultant including ensuring cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms and publications.

  • Provide high-level administrative support including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements for our Partners (and occasionally other Principals).

  • Assist with other administrative tasks and special projects as needed to support our company objectives.

The successful candidate will have the following:

·       Bachelor's degree in Design, Theater, Marketing, or Communications preferred.

·       Proven experience as a marketing assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably within the design or creative industry.

·       Passion for social media marketing and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.

·       Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an acute attention to detail and grammar.

·       Proficiency in photo and graphic editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) to create visually compelling content.

·       Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

·       Creative mindset with a knack for generating innovative ideas and solutions to drive engagement and brand awareness.

·       Experience with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making is a plus.

·       Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.

Our office is located in Harlem and is a busy, yet very creative, exciting, and friendly environment. This is a primarily an office-based position, but hybrid work is permitted. Benefits are provided, including paid vacation, medical and dental insurance, and 401(k). The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, based on experience.
