Senior/ Principal Product Designer

We are looking for a Product Designer who thrives on defining, creating, and implementing design across all touch points with developers and API Providers. Excellence in User Experience design along with great visual design is required. This is a great opportunity for you to impact and create a design system and work with a component library to achieve UI and UX consistency across the RapidAPI platform.

What you will do

●     End to End product design across the spectrum of UX: user journeys, use cases, interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes, pixel perfect comps; presenting work across management and development teams with guidance from the design & product leads

●     Collaborate on all aspects of the design process including user research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing and visual design to create on-brand solutions that are aligned with the creative vision and business goals

·     Own designs from specification to post-production evaluation and iteration, be the empathetic champion for your audience, customers, partners

●     Partner with the Engineering, Product, and Leadership teams to define and implement solutions for both our users (developers) and our Partners (API Providers)

●     Communicate your design decisions clearly and effectively to the team

●     Critically analyze the success of your design and iterate quickly on new ideas. Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas

Qualifications: 

·     3 – 8 + years UX/UI Web Application design experience

·     Experience shipping at least one full product ( or large significant feature ) as the owner/ end-to-end product designer

·     Proven experience iterating with engineers and other team members on both UX and UI

·     Self-motivated, you thrive in fast paced environment, experienced working in agile teams

·     Proficiency with Sketch for wireframing and design.

·     Experience with industry tools like Invision, Zeplin, Principle, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.

·     Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Design, HCI, or relevant creative field

Nice to Haves: 

·     Designing products for Developers, Developer Tools, or SaaS

·     Experience working in a startup environment is a big plus

·     Knowledge of HTML and CSS

·     Experience with Developer Products
