Visual Designer

We’re looking for a talented Visual Designer to join our growing Design team in Lisbon. As a part of the design team, you will help establish, promote and protect the BAO Systems brand.

In your day-to-day, you will work with on enhancing our digital and analog presence by improving all things design, from corporate website to physical exhibition space. The ideal candidate has a love for aesthetics, is a natural collaborator who can communicate effectively to team members and collaborate with other designers.

You will:

• Continue to evolve the visual identity for the the corporate brand
• Own the design and experience of the corporate and associated marketing websites
• Collaborate with marketing team to design print collateral and other promotional materials
• Evaluate and improve internal templates for presentations as well as establish guidelines for use
• Work closely with development teams to implement designs and asure pixel perfect execution
• Collaborate with Product to ensure continuity of brand
• Assist in the creation of compelling, easy to understand visualizations conveying complex information
• Own the visual design and aesthetic of related social channels and posted content (Twitter, Facebook, etc)

You are:

• A self starter with the initiative and drive to own projects
• Fluent in the tools of the trade (Sketch, Adobe CC, etc)
• Able to balance compelling visual design that is appropriate for the industry and sectors in which BAO Systems works
• Creative and love to ideate on new design and marketing concepts
• A designer at heart, but have an appreciation for limitations that may arise in the digital space

You have:

• 3+ years experience making things beautiful and visually appealing
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
• An amazing portfolio, showcasing innovative, clean digital and print design
• Design System experience
• Strong understanding of mobile and desktop design patterns and conventions
• An uncanny attention to detail and the ability to think holistically about design

Bonus:

• Experience visualizing and creating motion graphics
• Wordpress theme implementation and design experience
• Experience in the design of conference exhibition booths and displays
• Event space branding and promotional design
• Experience working with International NGO’s and/or in the public health sector
