Graphic Designer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Collaborate in the execution and production of marketing and advertising collateral and projects and managing the day-to-day creative requests from across the organization. These projects include graphic design and generally generating creative assets and deliverables for all areas of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in constructing and maintaining the Rockies’ visual identity
- Produce design and layout of graphic design projects consistent with the Colorado Rockies brand and follow creative guidelines while being inventive and artistically interesting.
- Develop & maintain consistent design to ensure timely completion of projects while upholding established brand standards.
- Collaboratively participate in the development of and production of the overall look and feel of large-scale campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
- Create graphic packages from brand standards
- Build campaign templates and one-off graphics for marketing, promotional, corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and other departments across the organization.
- Manage incoming creative project request, collaborating with requesting departments on the project details, gathering all pertinent information, setting timelines for completion, providing specifications for bidding out print costs and communicating with printers as needed.
- Be able to proficiently produce a wide range of graphic design work that could entail creating vector art and logos from scratch, promotional item design, billboards, print/digital ads, magazine layouts, posters/banners, stadium signage, and more.
- Complete projects by coordinating with print vendors and agencies as needed
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Player: As a member of the Communications & Marketing Department, must be willing to help in all aspects of the department and organization, especially as it relates to creative content development, events, marketing initiatives and administrative needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must submit a portfolio; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Minimum 5years experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) & Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent design, typography, color and infographic skills to illustrate brand experiences
- Knowledge of digital & print production
- Writing/editing skills and baseball knowledge a plus; ability to multi-task and time manage; attention to detail a must
- Strong communication skills, willingness to take constructive criticism and learn from it
- Spanish speaker/writer a plus
- Team player with strong organizational skills, working within a file-sharing environment
- Professional image and demeanor; consistent, punctual and regular attendance
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
· Hours generally 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, with some longer hours or weekend work as needed.
SALARY RANGE:
$55,000 per year. This is a full-time position eligible for all company benefits.
