Digital Designer (Web & UI) - UK Hybrid

We're looking for a talented and motivated digitally-focused designer who will work collaboratively with designers, developers, and other digital professionals within a small design team.

We focus on partnerships and high quality output, and you'll be working with household names we've built up great partnerships with over the past 11 years (find us and check the site for creds!).

You'll work at least two days in our creative workspace - a former bank building re-imagined for hybrid work - with the remaining at home or in the office whichever suits you more, though everyone gets Fridays from home!

You'll be responsible for designing various digital products including landing pages, software interfaces, web sites, social assets, email templates and interactive content i.e. games / quizzes.

You will:

• Design on brand websites, landing pages and other digital products in line with UI/UX best practises.
• Be able to work independently on your own projects and also support the wider design team on larger projects where needed.
• Have a solid portfolio demonstrating your skills across a variety of projects and outputs.
• Have experience working in and designing for the responsive web designing user experiences for digital products. (desktop, tablet and mobile).
• Be able to generate fresh concepts and ideas
• Have a genuine passion for UI//UX and creating excellent digital experiences.
• Liaise with internal designers, developers and project managers.
• Liaise and communicate with clients.
• Have good awareness of the industry and best practices in design.
• Recommend and source tasteful stock photography for your designs.

Skills and Experience:

We’d like you to have at least 2 years experience in a digital agency, or working as part of an internal digital team for a company / brand.

We’d require you to be proficient with popular design software such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch and Photoshop.

We'll also accept applications from freelancers and contractors or client-side designers delivering at the highest level (who wish to go into agency world).

You'll need to send a portfolio of work for your application to be accepted.

Bonus points for:

• Active on design platforms such as Behance / Dribbble.
• Knowledge of design systems.
• Knowledge of wire-framing and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Miro, UXPin or Invision.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web development capabilities (in whatever capacity).
• Wordpress experience (whether it be development or just using the CMS).
• Mobile app design.
• Graphic design and image editing.
• 3D Modelling.
