As a Junior Product Designer (UI) for Zalando Plus you work with a dedicated team of product managers, product designers (UX) and engineers together to evolve design excellence and develop the product further. We believe in product ownership which is shared between product management, product design and product analytics to ensure to understand the customer problems holistically. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Junior Product Designer (UI) to help us evolve design excellence across Zalando Plus.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Collaborate closely with the product and design teams to create compelling and consistent, on-brand experiences
- Craft visual language with the help of our design system for colors, icons, typography, graphics, and motion concepts to improve our design process
- Know where to leverage our design system and build effective bridges to the Fundamentals design team in order to feed new component styles and patterns back into the overarching design system
- Provide excellent and clearly detailed documentation of designs to stakeholders, and communicate design rationale clearly
- Execute the best design is nothing without an implementation to match. In close collaboration with our engineers, you continually iterate your way to success and customer satisfaction
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience and eager further improvement in visual design, and knowledge in different art styles for use in digital products
- Experience with iconography, typography, and building fluency in design techniques, principles and tools
- First in-house experience in working with a variety of disciplines in a iterative way to deliver the best experience that serves both user and business needs
- Translating brand CIs/trends into powerful & distinct visual language
