Founding Product Designer

The Company

  • Spark is a subscription drawing app built around some of the largest creators on Youtube. Think of us like ‘Calm for Art’. Built like a game, targeting <30 year olds (predominantly women). We’re working with the largest arts and crafts creators on the internet as a top of funnel distribution hack to take advantage of a $40B arts & crafts market that is stuck in Michaels and JoAnn’s. 
  • Company is funded and incubated at Night Labs, a creator-driven venture studio that builds venture-scale businesses around some of the top digital creators on the planet. Night also manages 50+ of the Top 100 Youtubers, TikTokers, Instagram celebrities and Twitch streamers. To date, Night Labs has launched 5 VC-backed businesses with top operators across food, gaming, marketplaces, fintech and more.

  • There aren’t safe, non-toxic communities online built for young GenZ women. This is a chance to partner with massive talent to introduce a healthy daily habit to new users: making art. 


Who Are We Looking For? 

  • A highly creative, mobile designer who loves digitally native mediums and tools, loves gamified experiences, and is fascinated by ways they can be brought together to create new definitions of digital art and creation. 
  • Your skills: 
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Designing for mobile, iOS specifically
  • Designing for a <35 year old audience
  • Defining design principles and guidelines that form the foundation of the experiences you design
  • Iterating quickly on customer-facing digital experiences, based in mobile app products, including balancing early concepting low fidelity with final idea high fidelity wireframes 
  • Working with a UX researcher to test ideas with customers 
  • Working with both qualitative and quantitative research, data, and analytics to inform actionable design recommendations and decisions 
  • Partnering with engineering to understand technical constraints and capabilities to inform design decisions 
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and open to coming up with and trying new ideas - be a thought leader and aspirational subject matter expert
