Product Designer - Senior

RWDI Ventures is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team in building new companies that matter. In this role, you’ll lead design practice within the RWDI Ventures team. We would like you to work out of our Guelph office, but this role can be done remotely anywhere in Canada.

We are built to be agile, work fast and look at problems from different perspectives. Our work is rich and varied, never dull. We work in diverse areas from meteorology to public health, from finance to smart cities.
Your Role:
- Lead design initiatives across a portfolio of innovative companies and brands
- Work closely with both business and technical ends of the Ventures’ team
- Complete early-stage market discovery, user workflow mapping, conceptual mockups, information visualization, detailed interface designs, and product launch/brand development activities
- Provide input to the design decisions being made by the marketing team
This role is for you if:
- You’re invigorated by tackling new subject areas and have a proven ability to ramp up quickly.
- You can champion discussions as the trusted “design expert” on the team, while also stepping back to collaborate with a team.
- You’re comfortable with the early stages of product development that can be messy and transient.
- You are highly creative and able to see alternative paths that get us to our destinations efficiently.
- You have a deep understanding of how to apply design processes to lean product development.
Your Past Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in designing software user interfaces in a B2B environment
- Used tools for full life cycle UI/UX design, such as Figma, Adobe XD and Sketch
- Developed and implemented digital brand identities
- Worked closely with users to map and document workflow patterns and interface requirements
- Photography/videography experience is an asset
