Job description:

BCL is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Graphic Designer to join our creative strategy team in producing custom course design work for digital, print, video, and live and virtual training.

The selected candidate will work with an experienced training team to design and deliver dynamic and world-class training solutions for our customers. This will entail designing attractive and usable course interface design; creating engaging visual concepts to express written information; creating graphical elements for support materials; and processing/optimizing course assets for development.

Responsibilities:

Make complex concepts easy to understand with dynamic visuals
Design course concepts, mockups, templates, storyboards, illustrations, and infographics
Design interactive e-learning modules and live/virtual training materials
Clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices
Work efficiently and effectively to adhere to project budgets
Demonstrate attention to visual details by meticulously reviewing your own work
Ensure brand consistency throughout various projects
Stay current with design trends and practices
Work with our Production team to ensure that storyboards and course concepts are carried through to the published course
Assist Management in the development of various items to support BD, Marketing, and other company related initiatives
Provide design guidance to other project team members to ensure all project workstreams are cohesive
Ability to problem solve and provide research, insights, and creative recommendations for an entire project.

Required Skills & Education:

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite; and XD or other prototyping software
Experience with the Office Suite—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—and the use of
themes and templates
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, content management systems, UX design.
Illustration, motion graphics and data visualization skills are a major plus.
Understanding of printing process and specifications
Cross-platform experience (MAC/PC)
Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related course of study or 5-7 years’ experience
in graphic design for a company or agency

Job Qualifications:

The position requires a formal understanding of graphic design fundamentals. A Bachelor’s degree in the related field of art or graphic design or at least 5+ years of graphic design work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The successful candidate will have strong visual design skills; strong visual conceptualization ability; strong design and layout skills; and a portfolio that demonstrates these abilities. Experience designing for print, web and interactivity is important as is the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator skills required. Strong PowerPoint skills strongly preferred but not required.
