Lead Product Designer
Stationhead is seeking a passionate Lead Product Designer to join our growing team and help build our mobile and web platforms. This is a full-time remote position.

We are growing rapidly, thanks to great creator hosts, media attention and a fiercely loyal user base, and are aggressively working to continually enhance and grow the Stationhead experience for more listeners on more platforms.
About the Role
- Play an instrumental role in evolving Stationhead’s mobile and web platforms
- Partner with the product team to research and communicate the problem and design, test, iterate and defend solutions
- Be a user advocate, keeping the user as the champion along the way
- Create user journeys and personas to help advocate for the user and illustrate their needs
- Help conduct monthly ongoing user research and listening sessions to uncover problems and opportunities
- Participate in and interpret qualitative data gathered from user research and quantitative data from analytics
- Deliver creative solutions via wireframes, hi-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes using tools like Sketch, Figma and Principle
- Conduct comparative analysis to uncover design/interaction patterns users are familiar with
- Run usability tests early and often
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3 years of experience in product or UI/UX design with a focus on Mobile (iOS a must, Android a plus)
- Distilling complex functionality requirements into intuitive user flows and interface designs
- Exceptional visual design background including iconography and typography
- Experience conducting in-person and remote user research/listening sessions, and synthesizing findings
- Full proficiency in Figma and / or Sketch
- Evidence you thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- An online portfolio of recent UI/UX work
