Budget Planner 2.0 UI Kit

Hi guys,

Usually I don't share my thoughts with online communities, but here, with fellows from the same industry as I am, I feel somehow comfortable doing it

For the last 4 months I have worked as a daily basis on my new product called Budget Planner Part II. It has been a long road, a lot of frustrations, but what I know for sure is this: I have learned to wait.

My daily routine was just as simple as this:
Wake up at 7 a.m, drink a glass of water-lemon and work for two hours on my product before I go to work. Come back home after work at 7 p.m, eat something, read whatever I like to read and then work another hour on my ui kit. This is Monday to Friday.
Let's dive into the long waiting weekend. Breakfast, jogging, coffee and work on my project for 4-5 hours more. Felt good, but not for long because I had to go shopping with my wife.

Resisting the urge to finish it was the hardest thing to do, but I tried to enjoy the process as much as I could and I want to thank myself for that. Yes, why not :P?

Another aspect that I like to mention is that I had to do a lot of research, to see what works and what doesn't. How can I build an app that helps people set up a budget, track their expenses and finally save money? With that in mind I outlined some of the best features from the best apps in the market, avoided some of the things that didn't work, defined the problem, wireframed it, with one scope: create a finance mobile app that is easy to manage.

Anyways, nobody cares and that's normal, but if you ever find yourself working on a big project for a long long time that makes you feel that creatively you’re at the ‘squeezing water from a stone’ point, remember that somewhere on this planet, someone is walking the same road with you, some dude who wants to create awesome things just like you. If you want to support me with a thumbs up, I really appreciate it. For me this is pure joy.

On the bottom line: Continuous learning needs to be a constant in our lives. Doing ‘good work’ is not enough. We need to be curious and challenge ourselves, step out of our comfort zone to become the best designers we could be.

Thank you,
Dorin
