Some fun with the Bjango logo for the new site.
Edit: The site is now up, so the logo can be seen in place. http://bjango.com

Isn't there a chance that it would read as 'bjongo' instead of 'bjango' ?
-an- part can be read as -on- as well
@Prathyush @ufoby Definitely. I’d be ok with that!
This isn’t the main way the logo is shown, it’s actually just the hover state.
The design uses lots of flat colours, mostly because it relies heavily on SVG spite sheets, for more-than-Retina resolution.
Good work, Marc! :)
When are you going to release new version of your website?
@Bjango ✎ Marc Edwards Cool, looking forward to the new look.
@Ramotion The new site is linked to a big app update, which actually has many apps as part of the release... so... I’m not sure at this point. We’re working really hard on all the related components. Probably several weeks away, or more.
@Bjango ✎ Marc Edwards Great! I look forward to see it :)
Hip logo! :)
Interesting Marc. I love the colours and how fun it feels. I think I agree with @Prathyush a bit. I think it has the ability to read weird. Another thing, the 'g' and 'o' combination along with the tail of the 'g' create an interesting (possibly fallic?) shape. That was just one of the first things I thought of.
Other than those comments, I think this is looking really really great.
im the only person who ask about de iStat iphone app every week on twitter ¬¬
Please don't change the Bjango website, Marc, I like it too much. In my youth, the chunky navigation text inspired me in one of my website's iterations. It means too much to me. :(
I know you'll make something amazing nevertheless.
@Charles Riccardi Yeah. I guess we'll see once it goes live. The logo is similar to the one we've used since the start, so I think we should be ok (the "an" already looks a bit like "on", but we haven't had issues with that). Easy to fix if there is a problem.
@bereto Working as hard as we can on that one. It’s getting closer...
@Louis Bullock Thank you. I really appreciate it. I hope you like the new site even more. If nothing else, it's as high DPI aware as we can make it (which is a lot... only parts that are non-Retina are some very old products and bullets in lists, due a WebKit bug with SVG).
Edit: The WebKite list-style-image thing can be fixed if you use background-image on your li elements (only needed if you're using SVG bullet images).
I look forward to it then :)
Hi , good job
I love Bjango!
looking good! :)
I easily read this as bjango. Also, I love it. pink/purple fade is a new favorite of mine, i'm rocking it on my new personal site: http://whalesalad.com
@Behnam kashani @Stanislav Thanks!
@Martin LeBlanc Thank you. Also, your new IconFinder logo by @SoftFacade is insane. Such an amazingly detailed piece.
@Michael Whalen It's a goodie. Great site URL :D
Was scrolling Bjango's twitter page for a status update for when Skala will be updated for the iPhone 5, and noticed someone said this was a cheap looking logo. I disagree wholeheartedly.
@Tyler Galpin Thanks. We're rolling a few other features and fixes into the next Skala Preview and Skala View update, but are trying to get it done as soon as possible.
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango - thanks for the iOS actions/workflows
