Shakey Graves Red Rocks Poster 2019

This is the show poster I designed, beaded, and photographed for the Shakey Graves, Dr. Dog Red Rocks show in August. The guitar was supplied by Gibson. I had been beading a lot of landscapes and figured I should do another one for this project. The Red Rocks amphitheatre is one hell of a landscape. I took Shakey's signature imagery (skull shot with an arrow) and set it in the foreground with some Colorado Columbine flowers. In the distance you can see the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I hand painted the show information on the sides of the guitar as well. To get the poster image, I used some laser cut templates to set the beaded typography. Then I placed the guitar over the beaded show info and took a single photograph.
