Traveling Mood Board - Iceland

While traveling through Northern Europe this July, I was inspired by impressive views of waterfalls, glaciers, waterfronts and city atmospheres. Using the places I visited as inspiration, I designed mood boards that represent the atmosphere I experienced while traveling through each country.

In Iceland, locals would point out how far the glaciers were receding over the last 10 years due to climate change. One glacier was covered in ash because of a volcano that erupted over 100 years ago. The volcanic ash protects the ice from melting most of the year until the temperature rises in the summer months causing the ice melt more rapidly.

Many scientists and environmentalists are studying global warming based off the changes they see with these glaciers. This inspired me to create Iceland’s mood board focusing on the serious impact climate change is making to their environment.
