Simple Travel App Prototype

This is a simple project in order to play around with ProtoPie, my first go at a prototyping tool. The UI design is fairly basic and really only to act as a placeholder for the prototyping phase. Below you can read some of my likes and dislikes concerning ProtoPie:

Likes:
- Cross-platform
- Intuitive trigger concept model.
- Really easy to get started with.
- Well documented
- Integrated with Figma imports
- Allows for custom variables on design components
- Conditions work well!

Dislikes:
- Custom transitions seem slightly annoying to implement manually, and the preset scene transitions are a little basic.

- Advanced prototyping seems like it would be a hassle due to the formula/variable model. (The feature is nice, but anything more robust than what I made here would take some time to complete).

- While Figma imports are natively supported, some layers may be broken on import and may also be difficult to integrate into animations.

All in all, ProtoPie seems like a nice tool for fast prototyping. I'm not sure if I'd use it for detailed micro-interactions, but there appears to be no reason you could not do so. For me, I want to experiment with as many tools as I can, so I can find what I like the most. Coming from a heavy JavaScript background Framer X has really piqued my interest, so next up, it's time to learn Framer X and Sketch!

Stay tuned and wish me luck!
