New Era Electric - Logo Variations

New Era Electric is a locally owned family business based in Stratford, ON. New Era Electric offers residential, commercial and industrial services, as well as preventative maintenance.

The goal of this project was to create a distinctive identity for a crowded market. Colin, founder of New Era Electric wanted an identity simple enough to digest at any size but an identity that could not be mistaken as another company.

To achieve this goal I focused on creating a distinctive monogram. Since the company name is long, it hard for the logo to be versatile with a wordmark only execution. The two last words in the company name start with E which allowed me to focus on creating a monogram with the letters NE rather than repeating the letter E twice. Within the negative space of the letter E it creates an abstracted plug shape to represent the idea of “electric” 🔌⁣.
