Conway's Game of Paint: May Flowers

Wondering what I should do for Mother's Day, I realized that merely purchasing a bouquet of flowers wasn't enough, I wanted to grow my own. Thankfully, I had a few million simulated microbes to help expedite the process.

Families are complicated. I don't always have the most straightforward relationship with my mother, but regardless, she shows up for me, time and time again. I can't even begin to say how much that has changed my life, and kept me going when things were at their darkest. Thanks, mom đź’– Happy Mother's Day!

This is part of an ongoing project I've I've been working on: A rebuild of Cloudy Conway (1), a bot that uses Conway's Game of Life (2) to make abstract art.

My version was built in CSS, HTML, and vanilla JS. It uses CSS's `box-shadow` property as a silly (but fun!) rendering medium.
