THE ANSWER FOR YOU, EVERYTIME

This is not advice.

You may have been told before in the past to take 'something' with a "pinch of salt".
I.e. moderate whatever it is you are receiving, as whatever it is you received, like advice for instance, is unlikely to be FOR YOU, person, human reading this – reading them.

I'm aware of my experience, it's fresh, and has room for expanding. I am certain about one thing though, which is that every piece of advice out there, on the net, or in class, to new & continuing creatives, becomes very, very different when you go about acting on it.

I know what it’s like. I’ve learned to moderate what I’ve learned over the first year of designing, using social media and building a brand which is valuable to others. Everything I learned and heard I tried to do, now, in one day, without the means or even being aware of my means!

Taking your time, and knowing your context could be the difference between actual growth and development and frustration, low productivity and feeling like you “can’t do” – and then you’re not having fun, then you do less, then you stop. Those 10-tips and 20-how guides were not written for just you, so they will always require a level of deciphering to work with your situation.

And sometimes, I found I’ve had to alter MY situation or context as sometimes there is only “1 truth” and 1 way of doing something where there could be an opportunity to grow, just need to go through a little “change pain”.

So what?
Trust your imagination,
Best advice is the advice that works with your context,
Not everyone can be correct
There sometimes can be only one truth – just got to get on with it!
