There are several quotes that I find myself speaking into situations over and over again. This is one of them, "Do. Or do not. There is no try." usually followed by "if it's worth doing it's worth doing right.' I take it to mean, give it your all and don’t give yourself an easy out. If you fail that’s fine but don’t go into it thinking that you might.

I have a small list of these that I plan on sharing on instagram in the hopes they might help someone else. I started dropping one each Monday for a while but stoped because I wasn't a fan of how I had formatted the posts. I'm ready to try and again.

This is my new format, I plan on really focusing on an illustration based on the quote with the actual quote being secondary. I want the illie to be pretty simple and easy to draw/execute. I wanted the lines and type to be almost too thin, if that makes sense? It's going to be kind of hard to tell if they are too thin until I see them as a preview in instagram. And I chose to do black and white to match my Visual Jams brand and so it might stand out on my profile as one in a series. This illustration is not my "authentic style" but it is another style that my sketches easily drift toward with little to no reference to other design work.

I'd love some feedback on this idea and this illie.

I'll be sure to post my favorite illustrations here as well. I'm excited to see how round 2 goes :)
