I realized my design posted today did not meet my quality standards, so I put aside time to create something of higher appeal.
I find that creating daily can be mentally exhausting to some degree. There are many practices I perform to increase my creative endurance. Firstly, I write 3 pages of reflection every morning. I write about things I am stressed, upset, happy, or excited about. If I am unable to fill 3 pages, I fill the remaining pages with mantra, goals, or a to-do list for the day. Often times I come up with my design for the day while doing so, and even prototype what I intend to create. I take cold showers to really wake myself up, then either workout or go for a walk. I live in a small town, but I often find inspiration among my environment. At noon and at night, I do deep-consciousness meditation for 30mins to 2hr, and I have never had a creative block after my routine. I am curious what practices other designers perform to boost creativity?
