Just couldn't resist :D
Edit: Here's the final thing: http://drbl.in/etny
First, @Eddie Lobanovskiy dribbbled this super cool sketch of a wooden safe icon (http://drbl.in/dSlv). I was already thinking about illustrating it, but meh... too much work. You know how it goes. Looooong to-do list, no time for anything. But then @Dash came up with a pretty cool rebound (http://drbl.in/ersR) and I thought: All right, that's it!
But: I'm a futuristic / Sci-Fi kind of guy. Even though a wooden safe looks really cool, it's totally not safe. A simple screwdriver would do the trick :D
So in a logical consequence my safe is based on Eddie's and Dash's shots, however, it's technically more advanced (I mean technically in terms of the real thing). That blue "button" there is an all-in-one fingerprint & DNA scanner. It also detects if the finger is actually alive - they can't just press a dead thumb on that button like they do in the movies all over the place.
And of course, the metal is made from Taptanium alloy :D
I'm still not entirely done with it, so this is just a little teaser for you guys. Stay tuned!

Looks gorgeous! Can't wait to see the whole thing!
woaa dude! i am about start over with my design, i've already started it 2 times... once when after i did the sketch, than i had to scrap it when i saw @Dash 's and now again!
Love the DNA scanner, it's a nice touch. :)
@Ruben Platte @Rovane Durso Thanks for your awesomeness, guys! I'll try to upload the final thing tonight. With 2560 x 1440 resolution :D
@Eddie Lobanovskiy hahaha sounds like you'll first dribbble your final thing before the sketch the next time ;) j/k ... keep those awesome sketches coming dude! Illustrating sketches is kind of like this old, super cool game called "anyone can draw", where you must fill stuff with color. Glad you like it - cool to hear that from a top-notch designer like you, man!
@Eddie Lobanovskiy Ha, before you start - Check this out: http://dribbble.com/shots/614906-Safe-Icon-2/attachments/50365 :D can't even fathom how awesome your sketch would look like if "DaVinciFied"!
Thanks man, it's really nice to see what u've done here, I love the details and lights :) Right now I got stuck with couple big projects that I can't show on here, but I'll be back soon. :D
@Eddie Lobanovskiy Sounds great!
now it is unsafe because thieves are attracted :)
@Dhiren Adesara lol! Sounds like I'll have to create an ugly version now :D
Wow! The details are superb!
I always tell every designer that the small details are the ones that take a good design to the next level. Your detail take your work to the next level. Amazing! What program do you use for your amazing work?
