Derive: Travel Made Collaborative

Derive enables anyone to plan trips by browsing other users' travel itineraries.

Travel is fragmented and impersonal. We learned that many people struggle to decide what to do when planning a trip, and reading generic top lists on TripAdvisor or Yelp strips the originality and excitement away from travel.

With Derive, travel is now personal. The app generates itineraries of trips that users choose to upload. Users browse trips that other people have taken, and can save locations they find interesting to their own travel list.

Interviewed 20+ users, prototyped in Sketch/ Invision, then built in React Native with team as part of Stanford design course.
