I'm Here To Tell Ya

I'm Here To Tell Ya: Words of Wisdom Since 1941.

My dad, Frederick Spahn, was born in 1941 and passed away in 2015. He was famous within our family for his consistent, repeatable sayings. He would often follow up those sayings with, "I'm here to tell ya."

So I created this magnet set for my mom, brother, and sisters this past Christmas to help keep his memory alive and to provide them with inspiration whenever they're having a tough day or week.

The color scheme is red & gold and black & gold for his two institutions of higher learning (Mater Dei HS and Purdue University), perhaps inspiring some of those words of wisdom that we would often hear later in his life.

The design inspiration (beyond the title magnet) was Oxford Pennant banners, reminiscent of the sports style of the era dad was in school.
