I grew up reading the X-Men and Spider-Man. And like any self-respecting reader of Wizard magazine and collector of comic book cards (oxymoron?), I knew all about the Fantastic Four, Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, and more.

Now an entire generation is growing up with comic book movies.

From the printed page to the silver screen, Stan Lee has been a major influence in what people imagine when they hear the word "hero."
