Artboard Artisan | Business Cards

Finally got around to printing some business cards for my personal brand, Artboard Artisan. Really tried to maintain a consistent look with these, taking cues from my existing web presence at http://artboardartisan.com.

The Artboard Artisan brand is all about the craft behind my design work along with my attention to detail. I wanted these details to emanate from my collateral so I made some key design decisions:

Using a dark background for your print materials can exude luxury, especially when printed on a thicker, more matte stock. I didn't want it too feel too luxurious though to the point of feeling cold, so I made sure to choose some heavy, yet soft typefaces to balance it. The introduction of my custom made "wave" element speaks to the variety of my design work and also bolsters the softness and approachability of the composition. It also creates a slight bit of mystery and intrigue. These details are also found on my website creating a visual connection.
