Sexy, Tables; Words Not Found Together Often
Ok, I get it. Graphically speaking, this GIF is not very exciting—I'll save that for a rebound shot. But FUNCTIONALLY, I am stoked.
In reading Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic's Storytelling with Data, she says, "When I have a table in front of me, I typically have my index finger out: I’m reading across rows and down columns or I’m comparing values."
Because I wanted to highlight the data as much as possible, the table design itself had to be as minimal as possible. Eliminating superfluous lines from the UI, I leaned into alternative means of communication: interactivity.
