Moonshot Russian Imperial Stout

Recent artwork I designed for The Lost Borough Brewing Co's Russian Imperial Stout

About the Beer: An ambitious undertaking from its inception this brew is like nothing we've ever produced before. The concept was born as a moonshot while traveling to the Great American Beer Fest in 2016. The idea was to make the smoothest, boldest, most drinkable Russian Imperial Stout we could. We began by selecting a meticulous malt blend of six varieties and balanced it with a distinct hop bitterness. Then let it age barrel to perfection for over a year. The first sip of this brew is pure stout heaven pouring out with a frothy tan head that would make Starbucks envious. It’s filled with chocolate and coffee aromas, and some roasted notes. Its creamy mouthful is sweet, even luscious, but nicely balanced by the hops. This beer is big. This beer is bold. This beer is what all stouts should aspire to be. The journey was long but completely worth it.
