Muffin Man Calligraphy: My Tribute to Frank Zappa

"Muffin Man” song by Frank Zappa nudged me to make this.

I made it as a personal exploration in lettering. The style of letters is based on Fraktur, a classical German style.

My goal was to create a holistic, symmetrical calligraphy shape.

Instead of making it strict, horizontal and totally symmetrical, I aimed to make it more playful, dynamic and interesting to look into details and shapes.

To give the letters more dynamism and vibe, I deliberately did not polish anything, just left it with such a raw touch. Even the texture is a real trace of my calligraphy pen.
